   Forgotten items 2020/12/25
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The hotel industry is one of the industries
that has been devastated by the spread of the new coronavirus.

Go To Travel is slowly coming back to life,
but it’s forgotten that it will increase proportionately as customers return.

The top 3 lost items are
smartphone chargers, accessories, and clothes.

In many cases,
the charger is left plugged into the outlet,
the accessories are in front of the mirror in the washroom or on the side table,
and the clothes are hung on the hanger.

Even if they forget their smartphone,
they will notice it immediately,
and it seems that there are surprisingly few.

It seems that some companies sell the forgotten items,
and the forgotten items found on trains and stations are stored for a certain period specified by each railway company
until the owner is identified.

Forgotten items that have passed the deadline are put up for auction for specialists,
and the one with the highest price can buy them.

And the vendor sells it to the general public.
I was impressed that there are various businesses in the world.

   Narita Temple
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

I went to Narita Temple area on New Year’s Day.

It was around 14:00,
so there were not many people and I could walk normally.

“Please keep your social distance and proceed.”

Since the announcement is flowing,
walk slowly while keeping a distance.

the products in the store would be eaten,
but it’s the same as not masking,
so I wondered if there are few purchasers.

I went to Narita Temple to see the crowd,
but the time was halfway.

It might have been a little different around noon …

After all,
I stopped by “Amataroya-san” and bought azuki beans and white bean.
I returned without visiting Narita Temple.

This year we have 60th birthday, yearly man, and yakudoshi, so let’s spend it quietly.

PS
I didn’t see only the 10th ward of the New Year’s tradition “Hakone Ekiden”.
It’s moody.

   KIMCHI
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

According to the statistics of the Korea Customs Service,
this year’s kimchi export value reached a record high.

The epidemic of the new coronavirus
has increased interest in foods that boost immunity.

It seems that the factor is that
the kimchi maker has expanded its overseas sales channels.

The export value of kimchi from January to November this year
was 131.52 million dollars (about 13.6 billion yen).

It is said that it greatly exceeds the record high
annual export value of $ 166.61 million in 2012.

By the way,
Japan is the number one export destination,
accounting for about 50% of the total export value.

I didn’t know that kimchi has the effect of boosting immunity.
I will try to incorporate it at my home.
Why don’t you add kimchi to your side dish tonight
as a countermeasure against corona?

   Japanese National Holiday
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

There will be date changes on Japanese National Holiday in 2021.

Why do holidays move in Japan?
This is to make it easier for athletes and spectators
to move during the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.
At the same time, it is to keep balance
between economic activities and citizens’ lives in Japan.
There will be four consecutive holidays around July 23,
the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games,
and three consecutive holidays around August 8,
the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games.
This is expected to alleviate congestion in central Tokyo.

Only in 2021, “Marine Day” will be from Monday, July 19th to Thursday, July 22nd,
and “Sports Day” will be from Monday, October 11th to July 23rd,
“Mountain Day” will be from Wednesday, August 11th to Sunday, August 8th,
and Monday, August 9th will be the transfer holiday.

July 19 (Monday) Holidays / Marine Day → Weekdays
July 22 (Thursday) Weekdays → Holidays / Marine Day
July 23 (Friday) Weekdays → Holidays / Sports Day
August 8 (Sunday) Sunday → Holidays / Mountain Day
August 9 (Monday) Weekdays → Transfer holidays
August 11 (Wednesday) Holidays / Mountain Day → Weekdays
October 11 (Monday) Holidays / Sports Day → Weekdays

We have to rewrite these changes.
July 19, August 11, and October 11 are weekdays.
Please be careful.

   MOCHI
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Japanese people often eat Mochi(rice cakes) around New Years.
Mochi is sticky, dense and difficult to bite off,
so elderly people with low swallowing power are at risk of suffocation.

There is often an increase in the number of choking incidents with rice cakes in January.
According to the Tokyo Fire Department, 463 people have been urgently transported in the past five years
due to suffocation accidents caused by rice cakes and other foods.
Especially in January, there were 177 people, accounting for nearly 40%.
In addition, 90% of the total are over 65 years old.

It is recommended to cut the mochi as small as possible, chew it slowly and swallow it.

   Rodeo Drive
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

An hour’s drive northeast of Los Angeles International Airport
About 50 branded stores from around the world line up

SHOPPING town called Rodeo Drive is lined up.
On Saturdays and Sundays,
it will be so crowded with local customers and tourists from overseas.

Especially for major companies,
clerk who speak in Japanese, Korean and Chinese is waiting.
This oriental company accounted for the majority of sales.

Also, if you drive northeast for about 10 minutes,
Eagles, Hotel California
You can see the Hotel in the jacket on your left,
It was a lonely old hotel without any change.

I would like to recommend a trip to Los Angeles in the everlasting summer
after the current situation of COVID-19 calm down.
