   Liver Fat
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

I had a medical checkup last year.

At that age, I needed to be retested due to bad liver values.

On February 1st of this year, I went to a nearby hospital and had an ultrasound inspection.

The results showed that my liver fat was extremely high.

The doctor advised me that if I left this condition untreated, the following things would happen.

*Deterioration of liver function
*Increased susceptibility to serious diseases such as liver cirrhosis
*Increased susceptibility to atherosclerosis
*Sudden death

I was told that it was caused by drinking too much alcohol, eating too much greasy foods, lack of exercise, and stress.

I love ramen noodles and meat.

I like my ramen(Chinese Noodles) with richly extra order of garlic.

They say there is no special medicine to cure for liver fat.

The doctor told me to improve my diet and to make sure to do some exercise (walking) to relieve stress.

Doctor told me that they would take another blood sample in May.

I’m going to try my best to exercise because I have a tendency to quit quickly if I don’t make it a habit.

   Pollinosis (Allergy to pollen)
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

If you are allergic to cedar pollen, you may be gradually experiencing hay fever symptoms.

I start to have hay fever symptoms around the middle of January every year.

It has been more than 30 years since I was diagnosed with the disease in my childhood.

The best way to alleviate the symptoms is to avoid exposure to pollen.

I think the next most important thing is to keep your body warm.

I try to wear warmer clothes and not eat food that cools me down to prevent my body temperature from dropping.

Just by lowering my body temperature, immune system will be much lower and my hay fever symptoms will obviously be much worse.

This is the time of year when corona, or pollen, or whatever, tells you that you should live a reclusive life.

I want to take off my mask and run outside to exercise as much as I can without worrying about anything.

   Price of Paper
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Japan’s major paper producing companies have announced that they will raise the shipping prices of household paper such as tissue paper and toilet paper from April 1 this year.

This is an increase of more than 10% over the current price.

I think that household paper is a necessity for every family in their daily life.

A price hike of more than 10% for such household paper would be a blow to the family budget.

It seems that the soaring price of imported pulp and chips is not the only reason for the price increase.

The main reason for this seems to be the continuing rise in logistics costs due to the tight logistics situation in Japan caused by the shortage of shipping containers.

Myself who is involved in some aspects of logistics realized that our work can have a direct impact on the price of daily commodities.

   Lunar New Year in Taiwan
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Chinese New Year is the most cherished holiday throughout the year in Greater China, Taiwan, Korea, Vietnam, and many other countries and regions in East Asia.

The Chinese New Year falls on a different date every year, from the end of January to the beginning of February, depending on the year.

It’s a long vacation (about 5-7 days) once a year, so people go back to the countryside(Home Town) and spend time with their families or go on a trip.

When the whole family eats together on the night of Chinese New Year’s Eve, it is called “Nenye Fan”.New Years Eve Family meal.

The following are some of the typical Taiwanese dishes that are included in “Yearly Night Meal.

Fish dishes: Head-on sea bream is popular for its good appearance.

Water dumplings: The shape of water dumplings is similar to that of the old Chinese money “Yuan Bao”, so it is considered a food of good luck to increase one’s fortune.

There are many other dishes to choose from.

Basically, there is a custom of not eating all of the food, but leaving some of it behind.

Leaving food behind means, “May you have enough money and food every year.”

   Japanese Movie,Hula Girls
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

It was a long time ago, but have you ever heard of the Japanese movie “Hula Girls”?

This is the story of the birth of Spa Resort Hawaiians, a facility in Iwaki City.

It is a story that is based on fact, with some adaptations.

The setting is a coal mining town in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture in 1965.

Today, we live in an age where the energy revolution is pushing forward from coal to oil.

As a result, coal mines were closing down rapidly.

During these situation,In order to save the town from the crisis, the people stand up to create a “paradise of everlasting summer”.

My hometown is not Iwaki City, but it is nearby.

Although I knew the name, I watched the movie “Hula Girls” for the first time last fall.

Main talent is growing hula girls, but what struck me was the scene with the coal miner.

The miners dig all day long, their faces blackened with soot as they enter the pit and face the danger of falling and exploding.

While spending his days like this, he was at a loss as to what to do with himself after the mountain closed…

In fact, my grandfather used to work in the coal mines here.

When I returned to my hometown this past New Year’s, I found that my grandfather’s remains somehow looked shinier than usual.
