We tweet about things that are not related to our work.

   Dried Plums
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

I love dried plums.

There is a plum tree at my grandmother’s house garden, so every year at this time I go there to pick plums.

This year, the fruit was bell-shaped and I was able to pick a lot of plums.

Despite the rain, I was so absorbed in picking that I ended up with 13 kilograms of plums.

When I saw the price of plums sold at the supermarket some another day, I was surprised to see that 1 kg of plums were sold for 1,000 yen, which was very expensive.

Dried plums are said to be good for health.

It is said that the citric acid in pickled plums neutralizes the acidic condition of the blood to a mildly acidic alkaline state.

Vanillin” contained in umeboshi(Dried Plums) is also said to prevent fat cell enlargement and increase.

It takes a lot of preparation to make dried plums, but I will try my best to make a lot of them this year.

   Cancer
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Lifetime probability of getting cancer in Japanese people.
Males : 63 percent
Female: 48 percent

Probability of death from cancer in Japan
Males : 24 percent
Female: 15 percent

This means that one in two people will develop some form of cancer, and one in four men and one in seven women will die from cancer.

I was very shocked to find out the other day that someone close to me has cancer.

It seems to be quite advanced, and we are going to have a full-body examination.

I feel a lot of regret when I think that if it had been in the early stages, a simple surgery would have been enough.

I keenly felt that I should undergo cancer screening on a regular basis.

I was told that cancer is affected by acquired factors of genetic changes rather than congenital genetic factors.

Told that lifestyle is quite important.

I would like to live a healthy life by taking preventive measures as much as possible.

   Seafood
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

On June 3, the Japanese government approved the 2021 edition of the Survey Report on Fisheries at a cabinet meeting.

According to the contents of the report, the per consumption of fish and shellfish by the Japanese people is 23.4 kg in the year 2021.

This level seems to be the lowest since 1960.

The consumption decline is attributed to the sharp drop in the amount of food consumed at restaurants due to the new coronavirus disaster.

Consumption of meat continues to expand due to demand for staying at home.

Seafood, however, has been on an almost steady decline.

The slump in seafood consumption seems to be due in part to the fact that it takes more time and effort to prepare seafood than it does for meat.

My family has always purchased fish in fillets.

I thought it would be fun to take this opportunity to buy a whole fish and try to process it while making a lot of noise with everyone.

   Changing Location
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

On June 10, our Narita office moved to a new location.

It is a different room on the same floor in the same building.

I myself have only moved once since I came to Japan.

From the dormitory at the factory where I have been staying since I came to Japan to the apartment in Narita where I am currently living.

I did not have my own furniture and appliances, so I purchased all of them through online and had them delivered directly to my apartment.

The dates and times of delivery to the apartment varied, and it took about a month from the day I signed the apartment lease to the day I stayed in my new room for the first time.

At the end of the move, when I pulled up from the dorm, I walked out to my new life with only one trunk.

   K-Pop Concert
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Recently went to a concert of one of my favorite K-pop idols!

I never thought I’d see my guesses from across the ocean in the first half of this year!

I’m so thrilled!

Since we are still on the alert for the new coronavirus, they had a quarantine period even after they entered Japan.

Looking at social networking sites, it seems that they had a meaningful time even during quarantine, such as training and reading books.

After the quarantine period ended, some members went sightseeing.

Little by little, I feel that tourism to Japan is returning to normal.

For them, it had been a long time since they had performed live in a large venue in any country.

There were a lot of happenings, such as wrong lyrics, wrong dance moves, and wrong standing positions on the stage, but it was all part of the fun.

I am looking forward to seeing more artists from Europe and the U.S. coming to Japan starting this fall.

An article caught my eye the other day.

An old lady was eating a hamburger outside when a flying kite swooped down and snatched the hamburger away from her.

The old lady suffered an injury of more than 10 centimeters on her cheek.

Despite their elegant image, carnivorous birds are basically ferocious.

I have the impression that where we humans live, there are gentle birds such as ducks and sparrows.

Even if they attack us, it is only crows.

At a zoo in Tochigi, I saw a show of falcons and bald eagles right in front of me.

As the name of the bullet train suggests, falcons chase and catch their prey at a top speed of nearly 300 kilometers per hour.

The bald eagle has a wingspan of about 2 meters.

With those claws, they can lift up to 80 kilograms.

It means that they can lift one adult person with ease.

Birds are not necessarily enemies of humans, but it is desirable to know their abilities in order to coexist with them.

   Fuel Fest
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

FUELFEST” has been decided to be held in Japan.

FUELFEST” is one of the world’s largest car festivals where car lovers gather.

Last year it was held in Los Angeles, and this time it will be held at Fuji Speedway in Shizuoka, Japan.

This is the first time the event has been held in Japan.

FUELFEST” attracts tuning cars, exotic cars, performance cars, and supercars from all over the world.

Visitors can experience a car show, live drifting, and racing all at once.

Cody Walker, the brother of the late Paul Walker who starred in Wild Speed, will be visiting Japan.

We are very excited to hear that various other famous guests will also be attending the event.

There seems to be a food court so you can see cool cars while eating and drinking.

It will be great.

The event will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022.

Why don’t you go with your family or friends, or if you like cars, why don’t you go?

If I have a chance, I would love to go with my car, the 86.
