   CHOSHI Railway
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The other day I went to Choshi by train.

The purpose was to eat a seafood bowl and to ride the Choshi Electric Railway.

I arrived at Choshi Station around 11:00 on a weekday and took the Choshi Dentetsu train.

A Choshi Dentetsu train had already stopped at the station, and it was an old fashioned train with a Showa-era retro look.

It was like a ride in an amusement park as it ran slowly and leisurely for 6.4 kilometers from Choshi Station to the last stop, Togawa.

We got off at Kannon Station and had lunch at a place called “Hamameshi,” which is famous for its seafood rice bowls.

Tuna, hamachi (yellowtail), and salmon roe were all on top of the rice, and it was very tasty.

We also stopped by the Inubosaki Lighthouse to soak up the sea breeze and spend a fulfilling holiday.

   Sleep Paralysis
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

The other day, for the first time in 20 years, I was in a nightmare paralysis.

I woke up in the middle of the night and saw an old man standing in front of me. (Dream? Hallucination?).

The next moment after the old man disappeared, he appeared in my ear and shouted in a low, earth-shaking voice.

Meanwhile, my head was convulsing.

I was so mad that I resisted, thinking, “Don’t lick me, you bastard.

Finally, my body started to move and the screaming stopped.

It is said that the reason why we see scary hallucination is because brain panics against the situation that we cannot move even though we want to move.

Comparing the brain waves in a normal dream and in hallucination. In the case of hallucination is said that the brain in more active, so it is more likely to cause hallucinations and auditory hallucinations.

Since then, I have been asking myself every night, “Won’t the old man come out again? If he comes out again, I will punish him.

But it does not appear at all.

It is frustrating.

But after all, a good night’s sleep is the best.

   CHINA ROUTE by Air
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Japan Airlines has announced the resumption of flights from Japan to Tianjin, China.

The first flight to and from Narita Airport will be a once-weekly round-trip operation, and the first flight is scheduled for July 16.

Due to the impact of the new coronavirus, flights between Japan and China had been greatly reduced.

However, Tianjin, which is close to the capital Beijing, is expected to generate demand for flights to and from Beijing, so they decided to resume flights.

JAL’s China route had only two cities, Narita-Dalian and Narita-Guangzhou, but this will be the third flight between Narita and Tianjin.

China continues to follow a “zero corona” policy to thoroughly control the spread of infection, and is strongly wary of the influx of the virus from overseas.

On the other hand, they are also very concerned about the damage to the economy caused by the deterioration of the business environment.

Following Tianjin, I hope that flights from other cities will resume soon, and I can’t wait to see the skies of Narita again, with planes flying in and out of the city so quickly.

   Yamagata Pref
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

This was my first visit to Yamagata Prefecture, as it will host a professional baseball game for the first time in six years.

Our new employee, Mr. Y, is from Yamagata Prefecture.

Before my departure, I asked him for various information about Yamagata Prefecture.

Yamagata Prefecture has the largest number of ramen restaurants per 100,000 people in the ranking.

Yamagata City has ranked first in the nation in spending on ramen for nine consecutive years, and the amount spent is more than twice the national average.

It is truly “Yamagata Prefecture is the most ramen-loving prefecture in Japan.

This time, I stayed in Yamagata for only 18 hours, but I thoroughly enjoyed ramen during that time.

The ramen in Yamagata Prefecture is truly delicious.

It is worth visiting Yamagata for the delicious ramen.

The seats at the stadium were close to the ground, and the atmosphere was great with many fans cheering for the team.

It is a pity that there is only one game a year.

I would like to see more matches held in Yamagata.

   GUN
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

I will avoid making remarks on individual events, but the world is a very turbulent place in many ways.

Regardless of politics, I pray for the souls of those who lost their lives.

Whenever I hear of an incident involving guns, I am reminded of something.

I used to work for a U.S.-based company.

Every year, we always had a training session on 【what we would do if terrorism occurred】 in the workplace.

How would we inform the people around us that the perpetrator’s weapon of choice was a gun? How would we protect ourselves? How do we protect ourselves?

As in a disaster drill, everyone at the workplace checks the emergency exits and decides where to hide out in the worst case scenario.

There was even a case study based on a real-life shooting that occurred in the past.

The basic rule is “don’t put your hands in the air and resist,” just like in movies and dramas.

I don’t know if I would be able to do that if it actually happened, even if I knew it in my head…

To be honest, at first I thought, “Terrorism in Japan? And guns? There’s no way I can handle it. I don’t care if it’s an emergency drill, is it really necessary for a Japanese company? ”

However, over the past few years, we have seen an increase in large-scale arson cases and indiscriminate incidents on trains.

Perhaps such things are already becoming more familiar.

   Influence of T.V.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

On Saturday night, a program was broadcast about an izakaya (Japanese-style pub) chain called Kushikatsu Tanaka.

The program asked professionals who have been awarded Michelin stars to evaluate the 10 best-selling products at Kushikatsu Tanaka.

The development team was extremely nervous.

In the end, 8 out of the 10 products passed the test.

Of course, the best-selling and most confident product, the pork kushikatsu, passed all the judges.

That’s why people all over the world go there.

I myself have been there several times, but my wife had never been.

On Sunday night, we went there to take out a bucket of kushikatsu, an assortment.

When we looked inside the restaurant, it was very crowded.

When I asked the waitress how the TV was affected when I paid, she said that the phone had been ringing off the hook since the time the show was on.

The family ate with big contented smile.

My wife was more like a child than the kids, saying she wanted to eat onions before the kids.

Next time, I would like to take my family to the restaurant.

Above all, I felt that the influence of TV is still amazing.

   RAMEN, Chinese Noodle
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

I am from Yamagata Pref., Japan.

I also lived in Niigata Pref. for a while.

Perhaps because of this, I like ramen so much that I could eat three bowls of ramen a day.

I have eaten many kinds of ramen, but the best tasting prefectures are Yamagata and Niigata.

Recently, I had tsukemen from Tomita Shokudo, not the famous “Tomita” in Chiba Prefecture.

I don’t eat tsukemen very often, but the tsukemen at Tomita Shokudo was really good.

Next time, I would like to try “Tomita” and the nearby ” TONIKAKU”.

Next, we went to a ramen restaurant called “Kitakata Shokudo” in Sakura City.

The ramen of this restaurant is also back fat type ramen topped with onion, and the combination of back fat and onion was great.

The ramen in Chiba Prefecture was also very tasty.

I am very excited about the other ramen shops I would like to visit.
