Taiwan existed right under the Tokyo Tower.
During the New Year vacations, I went to an event called the Taiwan Festival, which was held right under the Tokyo Tower.
There were several dozens of Taiwanese local gourmet booths set up there.
There were the king of Taiwanese gourmet, xiao-long bao, and the SNS-worthy Taiwanese fried beef noodle.
There were also unique Taiwanese sundries, cup noodles, etc., and for a moment I thought I was in a Taiwanese night market.
Now that I can’t go to Taiwan, this event allowed me to feel the charm of Taiwan with my whole body through the delicious street food.
I think it will be held again next year.

ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL

There was very sad news.
This year, 【ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL】 will be held at Soga Sports Park in Chiba City.
This is because “it is difficult to take all possible measures to prevent infection” at the venue in Ibaraki so far.
Rockin’ Japan Festival”, a big festival held every year in my hometown Ibaraki, will no longer be held in Ibaraki.
The main reason for this is that the layout of the venue and the size of the stage make it very “dense”.
The 2020 event was cancelled due to the new coronavirus, and the 2021 Rockin’ event was scheduled to be held but was cancelled at the last minute.
The most important point is that the event will not be held in Chiba “only” in 2022, but will be held in Chiba “from” 2022.
This means that the event will not be held in Hitachinaka（Ibaraki-Pref.） not any more from now on.
Chiba has already been hosting large-scale festivals such as JAPAN JAM and SUPER SONIC for some time, so I would like to see it replaced with one of them.
The economic impact of the event would have been enormous.

The other day, we had a lot of snow in Tokyo for the first time in a long time.
In some places, there was piling up about 10cm of snow on the ground.
On the day it started to snow, Office was closed before the regular time because the train schedules started to be disrupted in the evening.
The next day, as expected, many spots of the road were frozen, and I fell down and hit my butt.
Once, while descending an outdoor staircase, I seem to have put my foot on a frozen spot and fell down.
I hit my head and it hurt, but I didn’t feel dizzy.
I went straight to the outdoor workshop and jokingly asked my friend, “Look, look, are there any big bumps?
My acquaintance said with franzy face, 【My head is in terrible shape.】
When I touched the back of my head and looked at my hand, I went “What the heck is this?” and was immediately taken to the hospital.
Fortunately, the bleeding had stopped and no stitches were needed.
